There are three levels to consider: 1) Consider the local state and city requirements that your business operates within. General liability and workers' compensation are usually required for all businesses. Furthermore, commercial property and commercial auto may also be required . 2) Understand the insurance requirements of your customers and vendors. 3) Consider the key risks across your business operations and how much you wish to transfer versus self-insure.
